Does english on the cue transfer to the object ball and how does this effect shot accuracy

English (spin) most definitely transfers to the object ball.

Basic example: use left-hand/side English to throw the object ball to the right. By using ''top'' or 'follow' on the cue ball, it will 'kill' the speed or roll of the object ball. Using low or draw on the cue ball, will result in more roll on the object ball.

Another example: Object Ball on Rail - if the object ball is on or close to a rail, sending it into a pocket ahead of it may be improved with a little spin that gets it to ''hug the rail''. If u hit the cue ball a little to the side where the rail is - then when the cue ball hits the object ball it should transfer the spin. The spin of the cue ball will be ''away from the cushion.'' However when the spin transfers to the object ball, it will reverse & be ''to the cushion''. That should help the object ball hug the rail & find its way into the pocket. Of course the tough part of this shot goes beyond getting the right spin. One must also ensure that the cue ball connects with the object ball at exactly the right spot to make the shot happen.

Regarding accuracy: You DO have to compensate ur aim for English applied to the cue ball & the speed that you're hitting the cue ball. If u hit the cue ball too hard, the '' skid & roll'' wo not have time to ''take''. Depending on the the amount of spin u apply to the cue ball & the result you're wanting from that applied spin, has everything to do with speed, stroke, timing, & overall execution. COMPENSATION in aim, is critical when applying left or right english/spin.
