Yep they are two different words for the same game although with different rules

they're different.a billiard table is different than a pool table.

they're both cue games, but different rules. x

they are basiccaly the same bu in pool the balls are either yellow or black. but in billards the balls are different colours and either have a whitte stripe around the middle or a white spot either end. pool you are either yellow or red, billiards you are either spots or strips but both games are played the same

Pool and billiards are commonly used terms to refer to pool. Billiards, however, is an altogether different game with several variations (balkine. 3 cushion, etc.) billiards is played with 3 balls,; pool is played with 15 balls and a cue ball.
